Microsoft Exchange is a service from Microsoft. It is used to manage emails, appointments, contacts, tasks and other elements for multiple users and thus enables collaboration, e.g. in a workgroup.
New employees automatically receive an Exchange mailbox. This is a convenient alternative to the previous email service (Horde Groupware). The Microsoft Outlook email client can be used for this.
Unixmail users who would like to switch to Exchange should contact the IT Service Desk directly.
Note: A reverse migration from Exchange to Horde is not technically or organisationally possible.
