Expertise, scientific curiosity and personal perseverance: these qualities were demonstrated by the 74 doctoral graduates and five postdoctoral lecturers honoured at a ceremony held on 8 November 2025 in the Alte Mensa of TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Freiberg's status as an internationally networked research location was also evident: Thirty-five of the doctoral graduates came from abroad, hailing from over a dozen different countries, including Austria, France, Ukraine, China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Cuba, Vietnam, Canada, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Poland, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, India, Albania and Croatia. The 35th Krüger Colloquium took place on 27 November 2025. Professor Manfred Wendisch, Head of the Institute of Meteorology and Professor of Atmospheric Radiation at the University of Leipzig, presented various geoengineering methods and explained how they work and what their possible side effects might be. During the final panel discussion, he participated in a conversation with Prof. Dr. Jutta Emes, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christos G. Aneziris and Prof. Dr.-Ing.
