The scholarship program is aimed at
Applicants for a first degree programme who wish to enrol in the first semester at TU Bergakademie Freiberg and fulfil the admission requirements for the degree programme, as well as students in diploma, bachelor's and master's degree programmes in their first degree who are enrolled at TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
In addition to the academic achievements to date and the personal and, if applicable, professional career to date, social commitment, the willingness to take on responsibility and special social, family or personal circumstances resulting, for example, from family origin or a migration background are also taken into account when selecting scholarship holders.
Support is excluded if the student receives material support based on talent and performance in accordance with Sections 1 (3) or 4 (1) sentence 1 of the Act on the Creation of a National Scholarship Programme (StipG) of 21 July 2010, as amended, unless it falls below a monthly average of 30 euros.
Amount of the scholarship
The scholarship is granted in the amount of 300 euros per month. Of this, 150 euros is financed from private funds (companies, foundations or private donors) and 150 euros from public funds. Become a sponsor - support bright minds!
The Deutschlandstipendium is a great opportunity for companies, foundations and private sponsors to provide financial support to particularly high-performing and committed students. Establish a personal contact through your sponsorship and get to know future excellent specialists!
How high is the financial commitment for sponsorship?
A Deutschlandstipendium scholarship comprises 300 euros per month. Of this, 150 euros is financed from private funds (companies, foundations or private donors) and 150 euros from public funds. A scholarship holder is therefore supported by a private sponsor with 1,800 euros per year.
As a sponsor, what do I gain from my involvement?
As a sponsor, you take responsibility for the next generation of skilled workers.
Supporters have the opportunity to participate in the selection of scholarship holders in an advisory capacity and are very welcome to attend the events that the TU Bergakademie organises for its Germany Scholarship holders. Our sponsors are introduced to their scholarship holders at the certificate presentation ceremony.
They are photographed together with their scholarship holders at the certificate presentation ceremony and receive a sponsor certificate that recognises the sponsor's commitment to the Deutschlandstipendium.
I would like to become a sponsor! Where can I apply?
