The EU and the Free State of Saxony use the ESF Plus guideline to fund projects in the areas of junior research groups and doctorates. The purpose of the funding is to utilize the educational potential in the higher education sector in order to counteract a growing shortage of skilled workers and to contribute to the gradual reduction of gender parity in ESF funding in the higher education sector, both overall and in relation to individual subject areas. Über die Richtlinie ESF Plus fördern die EU und der Freistaat Sachsen Vorhaben in den Bereichen Nachwuchsforschungsgruppen und Promotionen. Application outlines for projects with a planned start on 1st January 2025 must be submitted electronically to the Vice-Rectorate for Research by 10th July 2024.
