Various general information, such as the UNIINFO-L newsletters, are provided at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg as an RSS feed and can be accessed using appropriate RSS feed readers (sometimes integrated into email client software). RSS feeds are a relatively new medium on the Internet that are primarily used to distribute news and announcements easily and effectively.
Customer benefits
RSS feeds are much more suitable for the "1 to n" distribution of messages than sending via email. For this reason, the distribution of UNIINFO-L messages at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg will be switched primarily to RSS feeds.
Scope of services
All current news from every area can be subscribed to via RSS. On every homepage there is the corresponding icon for subscribing to the feed on the left below the news.
Inhalt | Adresse |
---|---|
UNIINFO-L-Notifications* | https://urz.tu-freiberg.de/intranet/uniinfol_rss.xml |
Circular of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg* | https://urz.tu-freiberg.de/intranet/rundschreiben_rss.xml |
Access
When accessing from computers outside the campus data network, a connection to a VPN client is necessary to subscribe to the RSS feeds marked *.
When correctly configured, the news feeds represent a fully-fledged equivalent to individual email receipt, especially when integrated into the personal email program, but place significantly less strain on the IT infrastructure.
