We offer an instant messaging service based on the Matrix communication protocol to all staff, lecturers, PhD students and students. This service allows end-to-end encrypted and privacy compliant communication via chat, audio and video in real time.

Registration to use the service is not required. The login is done via the central university login.

Customer benefits

In practice, chat rooms can be used by almost any number of participants. Audio and video calls are possible between individuals. Files up to 5 MB can be uploaded to the chat.

For digital teaching, for example, the chat can be used for self-organized group work by students. For employees, the service can make distributed work much easier. Thanks to end-to-end encryption, all users benefit from increased security.
