Would you like to take courses from the regular range of courses offered in the Studium Generale programme and earn credit points for them?

Please find out in advance which courses must be completed for this and whether these courses are recognised by your respective faculty, e.g. as compulsory electives.

Who can take part?

In addition to students, members and affiliates of the university, other interested participants are welcome to attend Studium Generale courses. For some events ("soft-skill" courses), binding registration via the secretariat is required.

Does it cost anything?

Attendance at the lecture series, colloquia and conferences is free of charge for non-members of TU Bergakademie Freiberg and is possible without registration. For all other events, enrolment as a guest auditor is required for a fee of €30 per semester. Applications for guest auditor status are available from the Admissions Office (Main Building, Akademiestraße 6, Room 12, Monday to Thursday, 12:30-15:30, telephone 03731 39-3535).

The entire programme is free of charge for students and employees of TU Freiberg.

Are there credit points?

The entire range of courses for the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes as well as all modularised diploma programmes is structured in modules, the scope of which comprises either 3 or 6 credit points. Credit points must be earned for some of the courses in the Studium generale programme. The courses are specially labelled. In any case, a certificate of successful participation in the course will be issued on request.
