The next release took place on 11 July. In addition to the integrated search function, there are several technical innovations and visual customisations.

Design changes

Menu with two levels

The menu navigation in the burger menu has been revised to make it easier to find your way around. A second level has been added as well as a breadcrumb trail in the menu to make it easier to navigate back again.

Course finder

Further information is displayed on the course tiles: the standard period of study in semesters and the language of the course.

Two additional tiles "AI & Robotics" and "Business & Law" have been added to the start page.

Trapezoid views

The last characters of longer texts on the start page tiles are hidden and replaced by three dots. The display in the mobile view has been corrected.

Technical innovations

Search implemented

We have dispensed with the system-internal search and instead implemented a higher-performance search functionality. The Solr Search Engine is used for this. Search results are also listed according to similarity or relevance. The search terms are highlighted in the results. Fast indexing of content and resource-saving memory utilisation round off the high-performance search.

Layout builder

Editors can now use a layout builder to easily display content in multiple columns.

New paragraph for spacing

There is a new paragraph for spacing so that editors can deliberately add more space between two elements. Among other things, this is intended to prevent spacing being realised by poor HTML code, such as unnecessary blank lines or empty headings.
