Internal activation of the new website

The university's new website is now available for internal use by university members.

New website visible internally

The new website is now available internally at drupal.hrz.tu-freiberg.de. This gives university members the opportunity to get a first impression.

Go-live in week 24

The website will be launched at a press conference in week 24 from 12 to 16 June.

Continuous development

New functions are currently being introduced on a daily basis, changes are being made to the design, important core content is being added and any errors and problems that still occur in the beta phase are being discussed and rectified (troubleshooting). To this end, we are in daily dialogue with the service provider.

Feedback

We would like to involve all members of the university in this final process. If you notice any major inconsistencies, please report them by e-mail to webrelaunch [at] zuv [dot] tu-freiberg [dot] de.

Please bear in mind that the website is still under development. Please do not report minor display errors, but rather more serious problems.

Areas for faculties, institutes and facilities

As soon as the technical requirements are met, we will also contact and actively involve the editors of the faculties, structural units and departments. Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to estimate when this can be expected.

In addition to training courses for editors, we are also planning to set up a video consultation session to answer questions about working with the new web CMS. We are also creating an editorial guide to support the editorial process later on.

Interim website tubaf.org / old website

The interim website tubaf.org will be switched off at go-live. Until then, we will transfer the content previously entered there to the new website.

The old website will remain accessible internally at drupal1.hrz.tu-freiberg.de.

Until go-live, tu-freiberg.de will point externally to the interim website tubaf.org and internally to the old website drupal1.hrz.tu-freiberg.de. From the go-live, only the new website drupal.hrz.tu-freiberg.de will appear again worldwide (internally and externally) under our official domain tu-freiberg.de.

Migration of old content

In general, there will be no automated migration of old content. Therefore, only a very small amount of selected key content will be editorially incorporated for the relaunch. Our focus is on prospective and current students. The missing content will gradually be added editorially.
