The manual lever press from P/O/Weber is used to compact, shape or test materials under defined pressure and is characterised by its easy handling, solid construction and long service life. The press also offers versatile customisation options and numerous extensions to meet a wide range of requirements. These include a heating/cooling platen system for thermal processes up to 500 °C, a special version for installation in glove boxes and a retrofittable electro-hydraulic supply for combined manual and automatic operation. The press size, pressing pressure and control system can also be customised.

The laboratory press has a compact and space-saving design and consists of high-quality components that ensure high resilience and durability. The robust press frame comprises a stable base plate, two hard chrome-plated press columns and a solid upper press yoke. A plasma-hardened adjusting spindle with trapezoidal thread is integrated into the press yoke, which enables the upper pressure plate to be quickly adjusted to the pressing material. This means that the actual pressure build-up takes place exclusively via the double-acting hand pump, which generates hydraulic pressure during both the downward and upward movement of the pump lever.

The hydraulic cylinder with integrated oil tank is mounted in the centre of the base plate. The pressure is built up via the hydraulic hand pump on the right-hand side of the base plate so that the piston moves upwards. The pressing force is displayed directly on the pressure gauge in kilonewtons [kN], whereby an adjustable pressure relief valve prevents the maximum value from being exceeded.
