ORCID is a globally unique identifier that uniquely identifies researchers and permanently links their scientific achievements to their person.

Do you already have an ORCID profile - but is it up-to-date, complete and optimally networked? In this practice-oriented workshop, we will show you step by step how you can efficiently maintain and optimise your ORCID profile in order to increase your scientific visibility.

Among other things, you will learn how to

  • import publications automatically
  • clean up duplicates
  • link external data sources and
  • control visibility settings effectively.

Whether you have just created your ORCID profile or it has not been updated for a long time - in 30 to 45 minutes you will bring your profile up to date and receive helpful tips for future maintenance.

You work directly on your own profile!

Please bring along:

  • your own laptop
  • your ORCID login details
  • further access data (e.g. to Scopus)
  • if applicable, your publication list (e.g. BibTex)

The event is part of the series "Bits&Bytes".

Alternatively, you can participate online via BBB.
