FAQ

Self-service in your user account

Log in to your library account using your user number (on the back of your student ID card) and your personal password or default password (date of birth: ddmmyyyy).
All items you have borrowed are displayed in the right-hand menu under "Items on loan". You can extend the loan period for individual items or carry out a general account extension.

Please note that items on reserve cannot be extended.

In person, by telephone or by email

During our opening hours, you can extend the loan period for your borrowed items in person at the library or by telephone (+49 3731 39 2816). If only security staff are present, your request for a renewal will be noted down and passed on to the staff in the circulation team.
You can also send us your renewal request at any time by email (ausleihe [at] ub [dot] tu-freiberg [dot] de (ausleihe[at]ub[dot]tu-freiberg[dot]de)).

If the catalogue – and therefore your library account – is unavailable for technical reasons, this does not exempt you from any overdue fines, as the loan period can also be extended via the alternative methods described above.
