The Friends of Freiberg University Library (UB) was founded in 2025 under the umbrella of the association "Freunde und Förderer der TU Bergakademie Freiberg e.V." (VFF).

The university library is a place for everyone:
It not only offers academic services, but is increasingly developing into a lively meeting place in Freiberg and the region with a wide range of cultural activities.

Becoming a member is easy!

You are welcome to actively support the Circle of Friends with a membership. The annual membership fee is at least 5.00 euros.

Donations are also welcome.

Events programme

Support lectures, workshops, exhibitions and other scientific and cultural events that promote the transfer of knowledge.

Conservation

We work every day to protect our cultural heritage and keep it accessible. Contribute to preserving the treasures of our library through restoration or other measures.

Student projects

Students are shaping the future - and we want to actively support them in doing so. You too can support student projects, ideas and initiatives that enrich campus life and academic dialogue.
