Magazine order

Media with the shelf location "Magazin" can be ordered for use in the cataloge.

The order is placed via the single hit display under the tab "Holdings" via the link "Place a Request".

Magazine orders are only processed at certain times. There may therefore be waiting times. Orders placed on Friday can only be collected on Monday.

  • Look for the relevant medium in the catalogue.
  • Log in to your user account via "My account".
  • Select the "Place a Request" option.
  • Complete the order process in the next window by clicking the "Place order" button.
  • The bottom screen will show you whether the order process was successful.

All orders are displayed in your user account under "Orders".

Prebooking

Media on loan from the reading rooms and the stacks can be reserved in the cataloge. Reference collections, including journals and newspapers, are excluded from this.

Reservation is carried out via the single item display under the tab "Copy" via the link "Reserve".

Once a reservation has been made, the borrower can no longer renew this medium and must return it at the specified loan period end.

  • Search for the relevant item in the catalogue and select the appropriate item.
  • You can see the loan period for the item you want.
  • Log in to your user account via "My account".
  • Select the "Recall this" option.
  • Complete the reservation in the next window by clicking on the "Send order" button.
  • The bottom screen shows you whether the reservation was successful.

All reservations are displayed in your user account under "Open reservations". If you no longer require a reserved copy, please delete the corresponding reservation.

Collection of ordered & reserved media

  • We will inform you by email when the order is ready for collection or for viewing on the shelf "self-collection".
  • You can view all orders and reservations placed in your user account under "Media ready to pickup".
  • If the media provided are no longer required, please inform the staff at the circulation desk / information desk.

Note:

  • Presence media are only available for use on the premises.
  • Orders are usually available for you for 7 days.
