Writing camp for PhD students
Are you due to submit your dissertation this year, but finding it hard to focus amidst your teaching and other projects? Is the deadline for your paper drawing nearer, but you can’t ‘just get started’, let alone finish it?
With the Writing Camp, the Graduate and Research Academy and the University Library are offering the opportunity to work on academic texts with a clear focus during the lecture-free period.
As well as clearly structured writing sessions at the University Library, the group programme includes guidance and creative methods to help you get started, overcome inhibitions and achieve your individually defined goal. Within the small group, participating PhD students benefit from mutual support and motivation. Each day begins with guidance on setting goals, writing methods, and techniques for concentration and self-regulation.
The programme is aimed in particular at PhD students at an advanced stage of their studies or those working on a specific paper.
The weekly writing sessions take place on Tuesdays from September 1 to October 6, 2026, from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at the University Library.
