Summer Tapeball Cricket Tournament

On Saturday, 12 September 2026, the Pakistan Students Association (PSA) Freiberg, in collaboration with the Student Council (StuRa) of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg, is organising a Summer Tapeball Cricket Tournament at the UniSportzentrum, Chemnitzer Straße 48, 09599 Freiberg.

Tapeball cricket is a dynamic variant of cricket, characterised in particular by its fast-paced and entertaining format. In our tournament, teams will compete in a 5-over format with seven players per side. As well as the sporting competition, our main aim is to bring together students and people from different cultural backgrounds and organise a day of sport together in Freiberg.

There are attractive prizes for the participating teams:

🏆Winners: €125 + trophy

🥈Runners-up: €75 + trophy

🏏Best Batter: €25 + trophy

🎯Best Bowler: €25 + trophy

There will also be a supporting programme. Snacks and drinks will be provided, and there will be henna painting for everyone. A first-aider will be on site.

With this event, we aim not only to reach out to cricket players, but also to warmly invite people from Freiberg and the surrounding area to experience the sport live and get to know the city’s international student community.
