The Program
The new funding program, initiated by the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism, supports scientists from the Saxon universities and universities of applied sciences from doctoral level onwards who are planning a stay in the Republic of Uzbekistan or Mongolia. The aim is to strengthen existing partnerships in these countries, build new partnerships, share expertise and promote Saxony, especially the respective Saxon university or university of applied sciences, as a strong education and science location.
Eligible Stays
A wide range of stays can be funded. These include, for example, participation in international conferences, workshops and events, cooperation talks, research or project agreements and partnership initiations, giving presentations at Uzbek/Mongolian universities and holding seminars or lectures.
The Saxon Science Ambassador Program is open to all Saxon academic staff at doctoral level and above who wish to undertake a short-term or long-term stay in the Republic of Uzbekistan or Mongolia.

Applications can be submitted at any time, but all application documents should be submitted to the International Office of TU Bergakademie Freiberg at least 2 months before the start of the mobility.

- Mobility Agreement (signed by all participants, i.e. lecturers, partner university, Saxon university)
- Business trip application (from the respective home institution)

- Confirmation of Arrival
- Confirmation of Attendance
- Experience report
