In our training courses, we teach you how to use the catalogues, databases, journals and other information resources as well as appropriate search strategies.
The user training courses take place on request, also with several participants.

In addition, basic training courses are offered at the beginning of the semester as an introduction to using the library, especially for first-year students.

Opportunities for research training:

  • First semester introduction (at the beginning of each semester)
  • Research training basic knowledge (overview of literature databases and simple search strategies)
  • Research training for advanced users (learn and apply effective search strategies)
  • Literature database Scopus (topic-specific research in Scopus)
  • Open access (basics of open access publishing in the engineering sciences)
  • Zotero (literature management programme)

Appointments can be made via the responsible specialist librarian. Specialist can be arranged.

Recordings of online database training courses on various platforms

We also offer recordings of external training courses on literature databases and links to the publishers' offerings.
