Endogeneity remains a critical challenge in empirical research, drawing increasing academic attention and serving as a key benchmark for rigor in leading journals. The research seminar “Understanding and Addressing Endogeneity” discusses the problem of endogeneity bias and explores its primary sources, including omitted variables, measurement errors, and simultaneous causality. It will also introduce various strategies for addressing endogeneity, including instrumental variables and instrument-free techniques, equipping researchers with robust methodological tools to enhance the validity of their empirical studies. The research seminar will take place on Monday 8 December 2025 from 9:00 am to 13:00 pm in room 3.105 at Schlossplatzquartier. All academics, PhD students, and early career researchers of the Faculty of Business Administration are cordially invited to attend.
