Today we can announce a new team member at our professorship!
David Scherb will strengthen the professorship as head of the research group "Human-Machine Systems". In his future work, he will focus on researching the fundamentals and technologies of human-machine systems (e.g. exoskeletons).
After completing his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Medical Engineering at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, David worked as a research assistant in the "User-centred product development" research group at the Chair of Design Engineering (KTmfk) at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. His research focussed on the integration of the user into the product development process using musculoskeletal human models. Here he was involved in projects on the design of medical devices (hip revision implants) and support systems (exoskeletons and orthoses).
We are delighted to welcome David to our team and wish him a wonderful time at our chair!
