On 19 September, a sunny Saturday afternoon, Team “25 Years IUZ” laced up their running shoes and took part in this year’s Charity Run "Nepallauf Freiberg". Together, the team ran and walked more than 100 km around the track, raising over €1,000 for a good cause.
The team brought together members of the International Centre from six different countries, representing a wide range of roles and experience, from student assistants and language teachers to programme coordinators and directors, past and present. Some members ran, others walked, but together they went beyond their goal, covering a distance equivalent to travelling from Earth to the edge of the atmosphere and then some!
The event was not only about fundraising. It was also a wonderful opportunity to socialise, strengthen team spirit and celebrate the togetherness that characterises the IUZ. With both fast runners and leisurely walkers taking part, the event was truly inclusive and, above all, fun!

Wearing our “IUZ 25 Years” stickers, the team also proudly spread the word about our anniversary throughout the event.
