Both members of TUBAF and guests took part in the “Internationally Out and About” photography competition. They were invited to capture and share their personal experiences and encounters, fascinating landscapes, special cultural impressions or moments of studying together. The deadline for entries was 31 August – and the response was overwhelming, with over 100 photos submitted. Not only the large number of entries, but also their quality and the diversity of subjects far exceeded the IUZ’s expectations.

From the outset, “Internationally Out and About” allowed plenty of scope for different perspectives. The photos impressively demonstrate just how diverse international experiences can be – from personal encounters and stunning landscapes to shared moments in everyday student life.

The exhibition in the atrium at Prüferstraße 2 can be accessed both via the Prüferstraße entrance and via the CampusCafe S.I.Z. from Burgstraße. Visit the exhibition and vote for your three favourites by 16 November 2026.

The best 25 photos and the three public favourites will be awarded Freiberg vouchers worth between 75 and 10 euros.
The International Centre/Languages department will also select new photos from among the top entries for its classrooms in the Prüferstraße 2 building. This will make language learning even more appealing.

The prize-giving ceremony will take place on Monday, 23 November 2026, at 2.00 pm in the SIZ conference room (Prüferstraße 2, ground floor).
