The University Library opens its doors on 24 February for the XR Learning Days 2026. Join us!

The Germany-wide XR Learning Days 2026 - Experience XR learning applications, discover labs, get to know projects (formerly VR/AR Learning Days) are taking place for the fifth time.
From 23 to 25 February 2026 between 9 am and 5 pm, interested parties can experience XR learning technologies and applications up close. Academic institutions will be opening their laboratories and presenting projects relating to AR/VR learning - practical, interactive and hands-on. The events take place at various institutions across Germany and are offered in presence, online or hybrid, depending on the location. You can expect exciting keynotes, workshops, (virtual) lab tours and much more.

Bereits zum fünften Mal finden die deutschlandweiten XR Learning Days 2026 - XR-Lernanwendungen erleben, Labore entdecken, Projekte kennenlernen (ehemals VR/AR Learning Days) statt.
Vom 23. bis 25. Februar 2026 jeweils zwischen 9 und 17 Uhr können Interessierte XR-Lerntechnologien und Anwendungen aus nächster Nähe erleben. Akademische Einrichtungen öffnen ihre Labore und präsentieren Projekte rund um AR/VR-Learning – praxisnah, interaktiv und zum Ausprobieren. Die Veranstaltungen finden deutschlandweit bei verschiedenen Institutionen statt und werden je nach Standort in Präsenz, online oder hybrid angeboten. Es erwarten Sie spannende Keynotes, Workshops, (virtuelle) Laborführungen und vieles mehr.

Student Recruiting - VR & 3D printing as STEM learning content for students

Innovative learning scenarios will be presented that use virtual reality and 3D printing as innovative teaching and learning methods in the STEM field.
The event is aimed in particular at teachers, students and anyone interested in contemporary educational approaches.

Part 1

  • Status quo and framework conditions of studying at TUBAF
  • Motivation for student programmes in the STEM field
  • Concrete presentation of a learning scenario

Part 2

  • Adaptation of the learning scenario for VR and 3D printing
  • Live presentation of the VR/ARteaching and learning rooms
  • Demonstration of the technical possibilities

Recharge your batteries in virtual worlds

The afternoon programme offers the opportunity to experience virtual reality up close. In three themed slots, participants can try out various VR applications - from activating rhythm games to relaxing wellness experiences.
The programme is deliberately tailored to the exam phase and is intended to offer students a welcome break.

13:00 - 14:00 | Fight the soup coma with Moonrider
Ideal for activating body and mind, where you can move to music of your choice and smash beats. Maybe you'll achieve a new high score

14:00 - 15:00 | From dragons to clarity: VR castle building helps you refocus
Take a break to refocus. Travel back to the Middle Ages (or your own childhood) and build interactive knight castles in VR. Complete with archers and flying dragons.

15:00 - 16:00 | Change of perspective - look at things from above
With a space walk or a flight through our solar system, you can make earthly things disappear for a moment. A head for heights is an advantage :)
