Preisverleihung DVM

At the conference "Additively manufactured components and structures" of the German Association for Materials Research and Testing (DVM) on 6-7 November 2024, Ms Jenny Köckritz received the prize for the best presentation. In her presentation "Numerical and experimental investigation of the fatigue behaviour of a PBF-LB/M manufactured topology-optimised bottom bracket", she presented her work at the IMKF as part of the IN-BAF research group.

The research group "Innovative Component and Material Design for Additive Manufacturing" (IN-BAF) covers the entire production chain of additively manufactured metal components and deals with alloy development, powder production, additive manufacturing and surface treatment, material and component testing as well as component optimisation, particularly with regard to service life under cyclic loading. The lecture presented the innovative research results on component optimisation and testing using the example of a bicycle frame (bottom bracket area).

Prof. Kröger congratulates Ms Köckritz on the award on behalf of the IMKF Institute and the IN-BAF research group.
