Validation project "Extracting drinking water from the air - LUWAS"
The aim of the project is to develop a functional prototype that is able to condense water from the air using vortex cooling
Research focus
- Development of an efficient vortex cooler for fast and energy-efficient cooling of air.
- Design of an optimised condenser that enables maximum water yield under given climatic conditions (temperature, humidity, pressure).
- Determination of the optimum condensation scheme to maximise water recovery.
Project duration
01/2025 - 12/2025
