TAP is short for "Teaching Analysis Poll". The method is particularly suitable for smaller groups (approx. 2-10 participants) and is a very low-threshold way of receiving feedback from students. The procedure is as follows: We arrange a lesson in the current semester to come to your classroom. You leave the room for about 30 minutes and during this time we conduct the student survey. This is important to ensure that the individual students' answers remain anonymous. During the 30 minutes, we ask the students the following three questions: "What do you learn most from in this course?", "What makes your learning more difficult?" and "What suggestions do you have for improvement?". The students then discuss in small groups and write down their answers. Finally, all answers are collected and discussed again in plenary to clear up any ambiguities and ensure that all answers are correctly understood. The feedback is then categorised and analysed by the university didactics department in order to discuss it with the relevant teacher. Ideally, the evaluation takes place in the middle of the semester so that lecturers still have the opportunity to discuss the results with the students and, if necessary, make adjustments to their own teaching.
