Gain international experience
The doctorate is a phase of intensive academic work and personal growth. In a globalised world, researchers have more opportunities than ever to gain international experience. A research stay abroad can not only enrich your own academic work, but also deepen your understanding of other cultures and promote the development of valuable professional networks. This benefits both an academic career and a later career in business or administration.
Double doctorates
A double doctorate is carried out in cooperation with an international partner university. In order to obtain an international double doctorate degree, you generally have to spend at least 6 months researching at the partner university and publish the results of your work there together with the international research group, as well as fulfil the requirements there, such as participating in a special training programme. More information on double doctorates here.
