In addition to our workshop programme, we also offer additional events. The focus here is on networking and promoting young academics. Some of the events are also open to the general public in order to support dialogue beyond the university.

Our welcome meetings for new PhD students take place several times a year. The current dates are listed with our continuing education programme.
Interested female students can discuss the question "Is a doctorate a possibility for me?" in depth with other female students at the autumn camp "PhD Yes or No?".
We organise the Krüger Colloquium, a series of lectures with high-ranking personalities from science, business, politics and culture.
The Freiberger Frauen- und Männergespräche are a series of talks on equal opportunities for women and men.
Every year in November, the GraFA organises a farewell ceremony for doctoral and postdoctoral graduates of TU Bergakademie Freiberg who have successfully completed their doctorate or habilitation in the past two semesters. With this festive event, TU Bergakademie Freiberg would like to thank its doctoral and habilitation candidates for their achievements in research and teaching during their doctorate or habilitation, as well as the professors who have supported the doctoral and habilitation candidates with expert advice.
The University Ball will take place in the evening. This is organised by the Department of University Communication. More information on this here.
