Resilience for students
UPDATE: On 28 May 2025 at 1.30 pm, the last breathing space before the summer break will take place in the seminar room of the Mensa. But: There will be a second season!
How to stay productive under pressure
Studying is a balancing act - between exams, deadlines, social obligations and your own mental health. Most of the time you manage to keep everything under control, but sometimes it feels like you're balancing on a narrow beam at a dizzying height. Suddenly your body goes into alarm mode: your heart is racing, your head is empty, your whole organism is preparing to flee or freeze. Your "crocodile brain" takes over and blocks exactly the abilities you need at that moment.
But what if this threat only exists in your head? Your body reacts as if danger is imminent - but the bar is still safely on the ground. The good news: You can learn to regulate your nervous system and regain your ability to act, not by simply calming yourself down, but with effective, body-based techniques that are used specifically in high-performance areas such as sport or crisis intervention.
In our resilience series for students, you will learn how to:
✅ Use your body in a targeted way to reduce stress and regain focus,
✅ Overcome exam pressure and mental blocks,
✅ Train your nervous system to stay calm and clear even in challenging situations.
Curious? Then come along and discover strategies that will strengthen you in the long term! No need to register!
When? Every Wednesday at 1.30 pm for half an hour.
WHERE? Directly in the new canteen in the seminar room at the top of the stairs.
