The University Library offers the use of internet workstations free of charge. Only registered users of the library are entitled to do so.
The computers are intended for academic use.
Before use
Please note that the consumption of food and drink in the reading rooms is prohibited (with the exception of water in sealable drinking bottles). A general ban on eating and drinking applies in the vicinity of all devices.
The connection of USB storage media is generally permitted at your own risk. Please note that these are public devices that are used by different people.
After use
Please leave the workstation as you would like to find it.
- Always log out of online services
- Delete any personal data, downloads and documents
- Clear your browsing history
- Make sure you use the Logout function in the pop-up window to disconnect from the Internet

The computers use Sophos Intercept X as virus protection.
Modifications to the devices or the addition/removal of hardware and software is generally prohibited.
After a longer period of inactivity, Internet access is automatically logged off.
The University Library accepts no liability for any loss of data or damage caused by the use of computers, e.g. on USB storage devices brought along.
