Invitation to MEFORM 2025 and SFU 2025

Invitation to MEFORM 2025 and SFU 2025

The Institute of Metal Forming at the Technical University of Freiberg cordially invites you to the MEFORM 2025, which will take place on 20 and 21 March 2025 in Freiberg. This conference addresses industry and research in the field of materials technology and production technology for semi-finished metal products and provides a platform for discussing current challenges and innovations in metal forming. All areas of forming technology from forging technology to flat and wire rolling to wire drawing will be discussed.

The main topics:

  • Data-based process modelling and optimisation
  • Material simulation for technology development
  • Sustainable production and CO2reduction
  • Circular economy and resource management

The Saxon Symposium on Forming Technology (SFU) will also be integrated into MEFORM 2025 in the form of a workshop entitled "Artificial Intelligence in Forming Technology". This workshop is aimed at anyone who would like to learn about and discuss the potential of AI in forming technology.

Workshop highlights:

  • Expert presentations: Latest AI applications in forming technology.
  • Practical insights: AI-based solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Networking: Exchange with peers and AI pioneers.

We look forward to your participation!
