4th Saxon Raw Materials Conference

On 21 January 2027, the 4th Saxon Raw Materials Conference will take place. The Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Protection and the TU Bergakademie Freiberg are once again inviting representatives from politics, academia and industry to discuss current developments, challenges and prospects relating to the security of raw materials.

By taking a holistic view of primary, secondary and renewable raw materials, Saxony is pursuing a strategic approach that is unique in Germany. Linking these three areas of raw materials opens up new opportunities, but at the same time presents a wide range of challenges. Exchange between different disciplines and sectors is therefore of central importance.

With a programme of engaging specialist presentations and practical insights, the 4th Saxon Raw Materials Conference is intended to serve, in particular, as a forum for new mining and current developments in the raw materials industry. The focus will be on how scientific findings, political frameworks and practical experience from the business world can be brought together.
