Legal Department
The Legal Department at TU Bergakademie Freiberg is responsible for all legal matters at the university. It advises the university management, the faculties, the central institutions and the departments on legal issues, including in the area of university, study and examination law, and is the point of contact for drafting contracts.
Safety at Work
The Safety at Work Unit advises all institutes and departments on occupational safety issues relating to technical, organisational and personal protection measures.
Information Security
A lot of information is processed electronically at TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Information technology is used extensively in core processes.
The threat situation is increasing. The Information Security Officer sensitises and advises university management and members on the topic of IT security and how to deal with IT security incidents.
Internal Audit
The activities of Internal Audit cover the entire university. It aims to increase the transparency of administrative actions, analyse risks and make recommendations for improvements.
Internal Services
Internal Services handles a wide range of organisational tasks within the Central University Administration. Among other things, it is responsible for the official publication of general regulations, examination and study regulations as well as module handbooks, the posting of Chancellor and Rector circulars, the maintenance of the business distribution plan and other administrative matters.
University Archive
The University Archive, which reports directly to the Chancellor of the University, is a public archive. It archives all university documents that are of lasting value for science and research, administration or legal protection.
With its holdings, the archive supports administration, research and teaching as well as studies and provides the necessary administrative assistance to other authorities. As part of its use, it makes the archive material accessible, answers enquiries and issues study time certificates.
