  • Scientific and student assistants provide academic support services in teaching and research by carrying out auxiliary tasks.
  • They support fellow students in their studies through tutorials, for example, or teaching with the preparation of teaching materials, research with data analyses, laboratory work and scientific practice. The tasks may include actively accompanying excursions. In any case, the activities to be assigned must be related to the process of gaining knowledge using scientific methods.

  • SHK and WHK are entitled to holiday in accordance with the Federal Holiday Act. With fixed working days per week, there is also an entitlement to continued payment of remuneration in the event of illness. It is generally possible to carry over holiday entitlement into subsequent months of the current calendar year. The use of leave must be agreed with the line manager and recorded in the time sheet.
