Staff Mobility for Training (STT) in Programme Countries
Which countries are programme countries?
As a further supporting measure for the internationalisation of higher education institutions, further education and training measures for higher education staff at higher education institutions in Erasmus programme countries are possible.
Stays abroad last a minimum of two days and a maximum of two months. The maximum funding period is 12 days due to a limited budget.
With STT, higher education staff from all areas can be supported, examples of which are:
- Library
- Departments
- Faculties
- Finance
- International Office
- Public Relations
- Student Advisory Service
- Technology & Transfer
- Continuing Education
Possible further education formats are:
- Job shadowing
- job shadowing
- Study visits
- Participation in workshops and seminars
- Participation in language courses
University staff can take part in official programmes, e.g. staff weeks or language courses, or organise their own eligible formats. On the following pages you will find a current list of staff weeks and language courses:

If a profit is made from the difference between the lump sums paid and the actual costs incurred, this must be taxed privately as income.

As the amount of funding available is limited, please notify the IUZ of your interest in a staff mobility stay as early as possible, i.e. immediately at the beginning of a new academic year (Erasmus+ funding period) - "first come first serve"!

- Mobility Agreement (Training programme in coordination with the receiving institution; scan copy is sufficient, form in Download Area below)
- Funding agreement/ Grant agreement (will be prepared by the IUZ).
- Submission of a confirmation of the teaching assignment from the host university (Letter of Confirmation, form in the Download Area below)
- Report (online in Erasmus database; request will be sent automatically by e-mail)
Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignment (STA) in Programme Countries
The Erasmus+ programme also supports visiting lecturers at partner universities worldwide in partner countries. The aim of STA mobility is to impart teaching content to students at partner universities who cannot or do not wish to go abroad and thus to supplement the teaching on offer at the partner university.
Funding is provided for stays that
- result in the development of new teaching materials and enrich the teaching offer,
- can be used to strengthen and expand links between departments and faculties and to prepare future cooperation projects between the home and host universities, or
- contribute to establishing contacts and building networks.
- The teaching assignment at the partner university must amount to at least eight teaching hours per commenced week. Duration of the on-site teaching stay: at least 2 days (without travel).
- There must be a valid bilateral Inter-Institutional Agreement with the relevant host university.
- Eligible persons: Professors employed at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, as well as lecturers and research assistants who have a contract with the university.
