Important information!
The registration deadline for the graduation ceremony has already passed! Only registered graduates and accompanying persons will be granted access. Unfortunately, additional accompanying persons cannot attend as there is no more space available.
Due to the high number of registrations this year, additional streaming rooms will be available in Alte Mensa for registered accompanying persons, as the hall is not large enough.

Dear graduates of the academic year 2024/25,
We would like to congratulate you on the successful completion of your studies at TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
Together with you and your relatives, we would like to look back on your time as a student during the graduate farewell ceremony and present you with your graduation certificate. Afterwards, we cordially invite you to a get-together on the Obermarkt - a great opportunity to toast your successful degree together.
The University and Graduates' Ball at the Tivoli will be the festive highlight of the evening. Under the motto "It's time to celebrate", we will not only be celebrating your degree, but also a special anniversary: 260 years of the Bergakademie.
This festive moment marks an important milestone in your life. We look forward to celebrating this special day together with you!

Important note on participation in the events:
Participation in the farewell ceremony is only possible after prior registration by 24 October 2025. A maximum of two accompanying persons are permitted per graduate, as the capacity of the Alte Mensa is limited. The event will also be livestreamed. Attendance at the graduation ceremony is free of charge.Tickets for the graduation ball can be purchased via the Concert and Ballroom Centre.

FAQ
Eligibility to participate
The graduation ceremony is for graduates of the academic year 2024/25 who successfully completed their degree between 1 October 2024 and 30 September 2025. If you complete your studies after 30 September, you will usually still be able to attend this year's event after an individual examination. Please note that your name will not appear in the graduate book in this case.
Livestream
Registration for the stream, which can be accessed from outside the venue, is not required. A stream with English subtitles is also available. Please note that this is a live translation provided by artificial intelligence. Errors in the translation cannot be ruled out and names may not be reproduced correctly.
Dress code
We ask you to wear festive clothing appropriate to the occasion. Mountain gowns or traditional clothing from other regions or countries are of course permitted. Graduate clothing will not be provided for the ceremony in the Alte Mensa. If you would like to take photos with a gown, hat and sash, free loan copies will be available at the Obermarkt for the get-together.
Photographs
Photographs will be taken during the graduation ceremony. These will be made available to you digitally and free of charge after the event via a download link. You will receive an email to the email address you provided when registering. The group photo on the Obermarkt will also be published here.
Note on accessibility
The Alte Mensa has level access and a lift in the inner courtyard. If you or your relatives are dependent on a wheelchair, please let us know in advance so that we can reserve a suitable seat in the hall.
