The aim of the alumni film project is to showcase the diverse and in some cases unusual career paths from 50 years of scientific development at TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Initiated by the Freiberg Graduate and Research Academy (GraFA), produced by the Media Centre and supported by the Freiberg Alumni Network (FAN), the following portraits have been created. The selected alumni all completed their doctorates at the Bergakademie and many also studied here previously. They represent all faculties of our university.

2003 doctorate and 2011 habilitation at the Faculty of Economics, since 2012 Professor of General Business Administration at the TU Ilmenau

Prof Dr Dagmar Hülsenberg

1970 PhD in silicate metallurgy and economics, appointed the youngest female professor in the GDR at the TU Ilmenau in 1975 at the age of 34

Prof Dr Maja Krumnacker

PhD (1962) and habilitation (1967) in metallurgy, appointed the first female professor at our university in 1978
