The scientific content of the module is based on the location of the diving camp excursion, the student's personal skills and their degree program. The topic to be worked on can be of an engineering or geoscientific, water chemistry, (micro-)biological or metrological nature. The focus of the work can also be on underwater communication, documentation and the management of subaquatic research.

Students should demonstrate that they can work independently and as part of a team on underwater scientific tasks. This includes dive planning, a structured work concept and complete documentation under and above water.

Qualification: The ‘Advanced Scientific Diver’ certificate can be obtained by passing the theoretical knowledge and practical skills test in accordance with ISO 8804-2.
