The 14-day excursion is part of the ‘Scientific Diver’ training program and is specially designed for external scientists/students. Together with participation in the block course, the ‘Scientific Diver’ qualification can be completed.

This is a two-week research project in the marine environment, e.g. around the Sveta Marina peninsula in Croatia. During the excursion, the participants work on a scientific topic. Various working groups offer many topics from the fields of geology, gas and water chemistry, microbiology, technology, heat and mass transport or photo and video documentation. Participants' own ideas and topics are very welcome.

Qualification: The ‘Advanced Scientific Diver’ certificate can be obtained by passing the theoretical knowledge and practical skills test in accordance with ISO 8804-2.
