Today we can introduce a new team member at our chair! Sebastian Bieber will join the chair as part of the research group "Human-Machine Systems". In his future work, he will focus on investigating the biomechanical and ergonomic effects of human-machine systems (e.g. exoskeletons) to optimise human-machine interaction.
After completing his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Sports Science with a focus on rehabilitation and prevention at the University of Leipzig, Sebastian worked as a movement therapist in an outpatient rehabilitation centre. His professional responsibilities included rehabilitation and prevention, primarily of orthopaedic conditions, including the design and delivery of lectures, seminars and tailored exercise programmes, as well as carrying out comprehensive movement analyses. During his studies, he also worked in research groups focussing on innovative rehabilitation strategies and preventive measures in the field of musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory health.
We are delighted to welcome Sebastian to our team and wish him a great time at our chair!
