At ZUKUNFT HANDWERK 2026 in Munich, the focus was on the future of the skilled trades - and Dr David Scherb was right in the middle of it all.

As part of the innovation trail organised by the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Handwerk, he introduced visitors to the world of exoskeleton technologies. Under the motto "See, touch, try", participants had the opportunity to experience various systems up close - including active and passive shoulder, back and hand exoskeletons - and feel their effect directly.
Assisted by Marco Heidelberger, he demonstrated how exoskeletons can help to reduce physical strain in everyday working life and relieve the burden on skilled workers in the skilled trades.

✨A particular highlight:
David was also interviewed by Dr Harald Karcher during the event, where he shared his insights and experiences with exoskeleton technologies and explained how they work using exoIQ products as practical examples. You can find the full video here.

The innovation trail clearly showed that exoskeletons are no longer a vision of the future - they are already an important building block for healthier and more efficient working in the skilled trades today.
