Courses offered in summer semester 25 in the degree programmes
Notes:
- The course "Discrete Structures 2: Cryptography and Graphs" resp. "Fundamentals of Discrete Mathematics and Algebra 2" takes place every week with a lecture and exercise. In addition, there will be a compact course with daily lectures in the week from 19 to 23 May. We will find alternative dates for other courses of our faculty that take place in parallel and announce them in the corresponding courses.
- The course "Methods of Applied Algebra" deals with the topic of computer algebra this semester. The teaching language is German!
- The course "Summer School in Graph Theory" will be offered as a block course in September 2025. If you are interested, please contact Prof Carmesin.
- You can find more information about the course "Selected Topics in Applied Operator Theory" on Prof. Wauricks page.

New examination and study regulations BAI and MAI
The study commissions for the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Applied Computer Science have adopted new examination and study regulations. Students of the old regulations are subject to transitional regulations, which are set out in the corresponding regulations. In summary, this means:
The new regulations apply to students commencing their studies from winter semester 2024/2025. They also apply to all students studying on the Bachelor's/Master's degree programme in Applied Computer Science at TU Bergakademie Freiberg under the old regulations with regard to
- all modules, whose courses end in the winter semester and whose
examinations they
will take for the first time from the winter semester 2024/2025 and - all modules whose courses end in the summer semester and whose
examinations they
will take for the first time from the summer semester 2025.
In the event of any problems arising from the transition, in particular with the recognition of credits or pre-planned individual study procedures, Prof Starkloff will provide advice in his role as examination board chairperson.
