DEUTSCH: Auf einer Rundreise durch Myanmar machte ich in einem Fischerdorf am Ayerwaddy‐Fluss Halt. Am Rand einer unbefestigten Straße konnte ich problemlos versteinertes Holz sammeln. Die Einheimischen wunderten sich über mein spezielles Sammelinteresse. Sie konnten nicht verstehen, wozu man wohl den „Schotter“ brauche.
ENGLISH: On a round trip through Myanmar, I stopped in a fishing village on the Ayerwaddy River. At the edge of an unpaved road, I was able to easily collect petrified wood. The locals were surprised by my unusual collecting interest. They couldn't understand what anyone would need this ‘rubble’ for.
