Study programmes in which students and lecturers enjoy working together: In innovative teaching formats and international teaching collaborations, with practical projects in Freiberg, an attractive place to study and live.

On Tag der Lehre (Teaching Day) on 4 November 2025, TUBAF is inviting students and lecturers to talk about current and future developments in teaching.

"University-wide teaching and learning will take centre stage on Teaching Day - take the opportunity and get talking!", invites Vice-Rector for Teaching, Studies and Lifelong Learning, Prof. Swanhild Bernstein, to all teaching staff and students. "Together we will take a look at the teaching and learning environment on our campus and in the university town of Freiberg under the motto: "I like studying here! - Paths to the future.". According to the Vice Rector, the students' perspective is essential for this. "We are interested: How do they study and live here? What motivates them? Do students need more structure or more freedom for successful learning? How do they cope with crises and uncertainties? We want to discuss questions like these with our students and lecturers."

In addition to presentations on current teaching projects and resilience at the university and a discussion with lecturers and students, Dr Konrad Boettcher from TU Dortmund University will speak about innovative didactic approaches. At the Gallery Walk, teachers and students can get to know the teaching-optimised degree programmes at TUBAF and the Sisters Mentoring or find out about the TUBAF projects Quickstart, BeSOS and ARMINT and talk directly to the project participants.

Participation in the Teaching Day is possible without registration. If you have any questions, please contact the team at the Prorectorate for Teaching, Studies and Lifelong Learning: Prorektor-Bildung [at] zuv [dot] tu-freiberg [dot] de (Prorektor-Bildung[at]zuv[dot]tu-freiberg[dot]de).
