On 13 and 14 January 2025, a delegation from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, USA visited TUBAF and the Faculty of Mechanical, Process and Energy Engineering. The exchange between the two institutions represents an important step in the promotion of international cooperation in research and teaching at our university.
The delegation, consisting of Angelika Hofmann, Geoffrey Parker, Jörg Matschullat and Sarah Crockett from Dartmouth College, was warmly welcomed by TUBAF. During the visit, Prof Martin Gräbner (IEC) and Prof Henning Zeidler (IMKF), among others, not only toured the faculty's modern laboratories and research facilities, but also discussed potential joint collaborations, including with the Fak4 institutes IMFD and IGT.
The Dartmouth delegation's visit to Freiberg demonstrated the great potential for international partnerships and the exchange of knowledge and ideas. Both institutions expressed their interest in continuing this collaboration and creating new, innovative initiatives that address global engineering challenges.
