Experimental materials testing in four laboratories
- Universal testing machines:
- Hegewald & Peschke: 250 kN, 10 kN for tests at room temperature
- Hegewald & Peschke: 10 kN (2x) for tests at room temperature and high temperature (300 °C – 1200 °C)
- Kammrath & Weiß: Highly rigid SPT and bending test rig (5 kN)
- SHIMADZU Micro-Servo-Pulser (max. 100 N, 0–60 Hz)
- Special test stands:
- High-temperature creep and relaxation test benches developed in-house (3 units)
- Universal Nanomechanical Tester (UNAT, nanoindentation)
- Instructional and demonstration test benches developed in-house (2 units)

- CNB, B3B and SPT methods as well as other special test methods

- Own RAID-secured file system (18 TB) with backup, UPS and air conditioning
- Additional compute servers
- Teaching computer pool: 10 PCs (2× dual-core AMD Opteron, LINUX) for FEM/CAD practicals
