Doctoral Procedure and Declaration of Intent

In accordance with Section 18 et seq. of Section 3 of the LDSG, you have the right to obtain information from TU Bergakademie Freiberg about the data stored about you and / or to have incorrectly stored data corrected. In accordance with the Higher Education Statistics Act of 2 November 1990 (BGBl. I p. 2414), which was amended by Article 3 of the Act of 7 December 2016 (BGBl. I p. 2826). 2826), TU Bergakademie Freiberg is obliged to provide annual statistical figures on its doctoral students to the State Statistical Office in Kamenz.

For this reason, you are obliged to complete the following data collection sheet as an attachment to the declaration of intent.

You can download the "Declaration of intent" form itself after completing and submitting this online registration. A new page will open after submitting this form.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that you must notify the Graduate and Research Academy of any changes to this data and any interruptions in the doctoral process.

Because of this legal regulation, you will also be asked annually whether you wish to maintain your intention to do a doctorate.

The data collected will be used exclusively for internal purposes (administration of the doctoral process) and in anonymised form for statistical queries by third parties (State Statistical Office, ministries, etc.).

Registration

You can revoke this declaration at any time in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR at the Graduate and Research Academy of TU Bergakademie Freiberg.

North America, Asia, Oceania, other. Germany is at the top of the list.

Registration as a doctoral candidate
When supplying the data to the State Statistical Office, a name of a study program offered at TU Bergakademie Freiberg must be given in accordance with their specifications. Please select the degree program that is closest to the subject area of your doctorate.
Please select "New registration" if you have already canceled a doctorate and are now starting again. If you are registering for a doctorate for the first time, select "Initial registration". 
Do you plan structured doctoral studies?
Structured doctoral studies are required to replace the viva voce (faculties 3,5,6) and can be completed either individually or as part of a structured doctoral program (e.g. Research Training Group)
