The "Christian Grosse Endowment Fund for Research" serves to promote scientific research and teaching at the Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg and to support its realisation. The income from the endowment fund is to be used in particular for the acquisition of teaching, laboratory and research materials as well as equipment and materials.
The "Christian Grosse Endowment Fund for Research" was established on 16 October 2017 by Mr Alfred Christian Grosse.
The endowment fund is managed by the "Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg" Foundation.

Private donation of 100,000 euros for research and teaching
On 16 October 2017, Christian Grosse, a native of Saxony, donated 100,000 euros to TU Bergakademie Freiberg. The donation will be used to support teaching and research and to purchase laboratory materials, equipment and materials.
"We very much appreciate Mr Grosse supporting us with such a large sum," said Rector Prof Dr Klaus-Dieter Barbknecht as he signed the foundation deed in the auditorium in the presence of members of the Rectorate.
Christian Grosse was born in Chemnitz and currently lives in Munich. Through his donation under the title "Christian Grosse Endowment Fund for Research", he is now a member of the Founders' Council of the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology Foundation.
Through their commitment, donors and sponsors enable students and scientists at Freiberg University to enjoy the best teaching and research conditions. Christian Grosse is one of them, who has once again donated money to the university.
