TUBAF members
Electronic top-up
Log in to the PaperCut portal and select the "Add credit" function. Select the desired amount. The following options are available for online top-ups:
- PayPal account: follow the instructions of "Log in to PayPal"
- Credit card/Debit card (no PayPal account required): select "Pay with credit or
debit card", then select the tab "Credit card"
The login is done with Shibboleth and the central access data of TUBAF.
The PaperCut portal for TUBAF members is accessible within the university and via VPN.

Cash top-up
It is not possible to top up credit directly with cash. However, you can purchase a PaperCut card with cash (5 EUR or 10 EUR) at the lending and information desk and use this voucher code to top up credit.
Transferring credit
It is possible to send credit to another user via the PaperCut portal. If the recipient is a TUBAF member, the user name (e.g. "ab12cdef") must be used in the Transfer to user field. For guests of the University Library, the card serial number must be used.

For login, please use the library number as the username. The password is the card serial number by default. Both details can be found on the back of your library card. If this is no longer visible on the back of the card, it can be requested at the circulation and information desk.
The PaperCut portal for guests is only accessible within the University Library.

Print
Printing on the device with USB stick / memory card
- Log in to the printer by placing your student or work ID card (university ID card) or guest card on the card reader. The PaperCut app on the printer opens automatically.
- Connect the storage device on the left-hand side of the display
- Button Device functions, then button Print/Scan (storage device)
- Supported file types: PDF files
- Follow the instructions on the display
Printing from the Internet workstations of the University Library
Send print job
- The activation of the Internet via browser using the library number is required!
- Open the desired document and select File Print
- Make sure you are using the default printer FindMe_PCClient
- To send the print job, enter the card serial number of your student or service card or guest card

Pick up the print job
- Log in to the printer by placing your student or work ID card or guest card on the card reader. The PaperCut app on the printer opens automatically.
- Button Print release, then select all or selected jobs
- Follow the instructions on the display

Upload a document
Use one of our internet workstations to upload a document. If you want to access from your own computer, it must be in the campus network (VPN).

- Log in to the PaperCut portal
- Select Web Print
- Button Place print job
- Drucker auswählen (siehe Tabelle)
- optional: Set number of copies
- Select and upload document
- Supported file types: PDF files

*Since the exact costs are only determined during printing, the maximum price (colour print in the largest format) is reserved in advance as security. Your print credit must cover this amount. Of course, you will only be charged the actual costs incurred.
The document will be available for collection for a maximum of 7 days after processing and will then be deleted from the server.
Note on data protection: Uploaded files are only stored on the PaperCut server (hosted by TUBAF's URZ) and never leave the server.
Collection of the print job
- Log in to the printer by placing your student or service ID card or guest card on the card reader. The PaperCut app on the printer will open automatically.
- Select Print release button
- All available print jobs are displayed
- Follow the instructions on the display
- Please use logout , when you leave the device!
Printer login failed? Please check the Service Portal of TU Bergakademie Freiberg under "Public Printers" (Öffentliche Drucker) to ensure that consent for data transfer (card serial number) to the service provider Fritzsche & Steinbach has been confirmed.

- Button Device functions, then button Copy
- Follow the instructions on the display
- Please use Logout when you leave the device!
