The Welcome Point at the International Office, Akademiestraße 6, room EG.20, is the recommended first port of call for new international students where you can get the following:
- The Welcome Guide, a printed folder with crucial information about the necessary formalities after the arrival in Freiberg as well as living and studying in Germany
- Help from a contact person of the International Office
- As a welcome present a sturdy shoulder bag from the university. Please note: You will receive the bag after filling in a questionnaire plus showing the enrolment certificate of TU BAF; new international students have to pick it up during their first semester.

New international students can call the International Office by dialing the emergency number. It is only available at the beginning of a semester.
